When to recite
Recited in the first rak'ah of the Witr prayer.
Qur’anic verse
Qul ya ayyuha alkafiroon ….. قُـلْ يا أَيُّـها الكـافِرون….
[Al-kafiroon]
When to recite
Recited in the second rak'ah of the Witr prayer.
Qur’anic verse
Qul huwa Allahu ahad ….. قُـل هُوَ اللهُ أحد…..
[Al-ikhlas] …after giving salam he would supplicate three times:

Recited in the last rak'ah of the Witr prayer.
سُـبْحانَ المَلِكِ القُدّوس (ثلاث مرات)
Subhanal-malikil-quddoos.(three times).
Translation
How perfect The King, The Holy One is.’ (three times)
When to recite
After completing the Witr prayer, three times.
…on the third time he would raise his voice, elongate it and add:
Rabbil-mala-ikati warrooh. ربِّ الملائكةِ والرّوح
Translation
Lord of the angles and the Rooh (i.e. Jibra-eel).
