What to say when praising someone to avoid the evil eye
مَا شَاءَ اللهُ، تَبَارَكَ اللهُ
مَا شَاءَ اللهُ، تَبَارَكَ اللهُ
Ma shaal-lah, tabarakal-lah
Translation
What Allah has willed! Blessed is Allah.
When to recite
Said when admiring someone's beauty, children, wealth, or any blessing they have. Protects against causing the evil eye. From Surah Al-Kahf (18:39).
