Sending prayers upon the Prophet ﷺ — upon his wives and descendants
اللَّهُـمَّ صَـلِّ عَلَـى مُحَمَّـدٍ وَعَلَـى أَزْوَاجِـهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِـهِ ، كَمَـا صَلَّيْـتَ عَلَـى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيـمَ ، وَبَارِكْ عَلَـى مُحَمَّـدٍ وَعَلَـى أَزْوَاجِـهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِـهِ ، كَمَـا بَارَكْـتَ عَلَـى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيـمَ ، إِنَّـكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
Allāhumma ṣalli ‘alā muḥammad wa ‘alā azwājihi wa dhurriyyatih, kamā ṣallayta ‘alā āli ibrāhīm, wa bārik ‘alā muḥammad, wa ‘alā azwājihi wa dhurriyyatih, kamā bārakta ‘alā āli ibrāhīm, innaka ḥamīdun majīd.
Translation
O Allah, send prayers upon Mohammed and upon the wives and descendants of Mohammed, just as You sent prayers upon the family of Ibrahim, and send blessings upon Mohammed and upon the wives and descendants of Mohammed, just as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are full of praise and majesty.
When to recite
After the tashahhud, sending blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ.
