Dua before salam — I bear witness You are Allah, the One
اللَّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَسْأَلُـكَ بِأَنِّـي أَشْـهَدُ أَنَّـكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَـهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، الْأَحَـدُ الصَّـمَدُ الَّـذِي لَـمْ يَلِـدْ وَلَـمْ يُولَـدْ، وَلَـمْ يَكُـنْ لَـهُ كُـفُوًا أَحَـدٌ
Allāhumma innī as’aluka bi’anna laka l-ḥamd, lā ilāha illā ant waḥdaka lā šarīka lak, al-mannān, yā badī‘a s-samāwāti wa l-arḍ, yā dha l-jalāli wa l-ikrām, yā ḥayyu yā qayyūm, innī as’aluka l-jannah, wa a‘ūdhu bika mina n-nār.
Translation
O Allah, I ask You, as I bear witness that You are Allah, none has the right to be worshipped except You, The One, AS-Samad Who begets not nor was He begotten and there is none like unto Him.
When to recite
In prayer, after the final tashahhud and before the closing salam.

AS-Samad: The Self-Sufficient Master, Possessor of perfect attributes whom all of creation turn to in all their needs.
